I am wondering if I should wash the clothes after i buy them?

I man the clothes for myself. I breastfeed and b4 I had my baby who's 6 weeks now, Id just out the clothes on after buying them. I know so many ppl try them on but would it be sanitary to wear them and hold/.hug/breastfeed my baby without washing them?

That is a clever question. I never thought of it like that. I never wash my clothes when I get them brand new. But I do wash my son's clothes when its brand new. Guess im going too wash my new clothes now once I get them!

Yes you definitely should! I used to work in a clothing store and I got quite freaked out by the c**p that used to come out of the boxes of clothes, spiders, beetles, rodent droppings, once we found a dead mouse! Some items are protected by chemicals to stop moulds forming on them while in transit (the most obvious way to see this for yourself is with new towels, they never dry things up properly if you dont wash them first before use due to the chemicals that stop them absorbing damp whilst being shipped around).

I wash new clothes before wearing. Who knows what  residue is on the materials from the manufacturing and shipping

I would also wash new clothes before wearing them because you don't know who may have tried them on in the store before you.

not unless u wash them

ppl at the cloth factory touched them

seamstresses touched them

boxing ppl prob touched them

unboxing , hanging, then displaying, trying on, ppl hanging them back up, etc

, etc,etc

i wash EVERYTHING before it is worn; gross

who knows who tried it on or when they bathed.ick

I worked in retail for a very long time.....always with clothes and I would say you should wash them EVERY TIME right after you buy them. I don't want to freak anyone out but I would never wear them without washing.
