  1. You hopefully realize that an H1b visa is not an immigration visa. To marry with the intent on staying in the US violates the terms of the H1b. If immigration feels you entered the US with the intent to remain they can deny you future entry or reject a future application for a green card.

If you plan to get married and remain in the US, you need to enter on an immigration  visa.

Others that did what you are planning have suffered years of headache and frustration trying to correct the mistake.

  2. Ya!!!  this is possible  beacuse this way she has to file for you and you can applied also while filing for a work permit. also you can apply for the Ucis news paper they have some recents good informations concerning those who work and would like to be current.

  3. Not any time soon would be the correct answer. You can certainly get married and as a legal permanent resident your wife can file an immigrant visa petition for you under the F2a family preference category. However, those petitions take 5 years from the time they are filed before they become valid for use. Until they are valid, or current, they provide no immigration benefits whatever. So, yes, 5 years after your wife files, you would be eligible for a work card. If you want to remain in the US and live with your wife legally for the next few years, my advice would be, Don't give up your day job.
