I am working with an Insurance Company, and tomorrow morning I hv to give a presentation on equities?

Tomorrow I am supposed to give a presentation before my RM and collaegues about equities, equity market so that a lay man can understand everything about equities.

Hi,

To make your presentation impressive you need to take graphical presentation of ups and downs of sensex since last 10 years.  You have to give a idea how equity has outperformed other assets, viz: gold, realestate etc  and impress on the audience that long term investment has not let down any investor in the equity market.  You can speak on oil prices, US slowdown, the appreciation of Indian currency against dollar and the impact  etc...Well would you ask me myself to prepare the presentation for u!

Well 1 day is too short for you to come to grips with the basics of equity investing. Perhaps a ready made investing basics presentation may help.

Basically, you need to know how it works. Go to wikipedia.org, and read all there is about equities, stock market, and investing. Then go to investopedia.com and look up those three again.
