I am writting a book right now, and part of the setting is in a school, Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH.

Question

I REALLY want to know what the school uniforms look like, or if the even have uniforms, since I haven't actually found any solid confirmation of that. And also, if you have attended the school, what is the overall atmosphere in the classroom? Between the students? Do athletics or academics have a great importance? I would really appreciate any helpful answers. Don't tell me the school is **** please. That does nothing for me. Thank you.

Well, we do not have uniforms... but they are certainly being debated upon!!  There is a dress code, like no skirts or shorts more than 5 inches above the knee...

I go to pinkerton, and the athletics are HUGE and i mean HUGE!!  Our schools pep rally's and spirit absolutelytly amazing!!!! Our football games are so exciting because the fans go wild and pump up the players and the cheerleaders! Basketball, vollyball, baseball, any sport at pinkerton is so fun to attend because of the spirit!  

The students of pinkerton make the school that much different... some people are jerks while others make your day brighter ( if you catch my drift) There are many many different personalities roaming around the campus...

Some classrooms are so fun because of the teachers, and the people in your class... but other times, the class is SOOO boring!!! Pinkerton is a strict school when it comes to school work.. the teachers really care if you are not doing to well, and they do your best to help you succeed!!

Overall as a student, i LOVE this school so much!! i actually like going to school because its an awesome place to be!

I go to Pinkerton. It's pretty sweet.

We don't have uniforms, yet...

Athletics are a pretty big deal. Pep rallies are huge. When we have pep rallies, they cancel the last class of the day and we all go the gym. Everyone wears red and white, the school colors, and chants "Na-na-na-nobody messes with the Astro Machine!"

The campus is really big and all our classes are in different buildings. You have seven minutes between classes to run across campus to you're next class. So it's really not fun when it rains. But during the winter, it's always fun to see who will be the first to fall down the hill on the ice ^^ But it's really awful in the summer because there's no air conditioning. None, except for in the office.

Hallways and stairwells are always really crowded. The weird thing is the everyone always walks on their right side of the hall, like driving.

Oh, and they serve some form of chicken every single day in the cafeteria. Like, everyday. Just in a different shape. Chicken nuggets, chicken tenders, chicken fries, chicken-o's...
