I am writting a paper on MEDIA and HIV-- what is your opinion of this?

Does the media make it worse then it is, does it educate or not? Is it too biased? what do you think? ANY OPINIONS WELCOME!

  1. Actually, I think a turning point was reached in the Ryan White case, which made it apparent that it wasn't just a disease meted out against "deviants" by a wrathful God


  2. I think the media sensationalize any kind of illness among famous people, but particularly HIV.  They are part of the problem that there is still a stigma attached to having HIV.

  3. I think there are a lot of celebrities in Hollywood that support HIV awareness because it is known as a g*y disease and there is so much g*y support in Hollywood. Sharon Stone is a big HIV supporter.

    The media is biased to the left so it is more supportive of HIV than most Americans are. Most Americans still blame the victims of HIV and think if you have g*y s*x then you deserve to get sick and die. Celebrities see people with HIV as victims because so many people in that industry are g*y.
