  1. The fact that you are a green card holder in the US gives you no benefit whatsoever if you wish to immigrate to Canada.

    However you got your green card in the US, you will have to undergo a similar process in order to get permanent residence in Canada.

  3. The above is correct. But the good news is, the process of becoming a permanent resident of Canada isn't a complete joke like it is in the US. You don't have to sit there for several years waiting for a service center to get to your paperwork, or post your job for 90 days to "prove" that you are not stealing a job from a Canadian. Unlike the US, Canada believes in keeping their citizens globally competitive. They don't protect their highly overpaid and underskilled lazy Citizen workers by putting a dome of bureaucracy around them to minimize any global competition for their jobs like the USA currently does. But enough of my rants, the state of the economy in USA speaks for itself :)
