  1. In general, most Australians are friendly and polite to those who are friendly and polite to them.

    We have hosted Japanese exchange Students a few times, 2 or 3 weeks at a time, and they have always loved this county.

    They make many friends at the schools that they attend here, and they normally keep in contact even after they return home.  They tell us that they have been very happy to be able to make new friends in this way.
