I applied at wendys today and they told me they would call back and they haven't?

Question

I called them 4 hours after i applied and talked to the manager and he said he would call me later tonight, so seeing that it was 8:30 insisted and called him again this time he said he saw my application and proved to me he did because he said my last name but then again he said he would call back, is he really going to call back or not??

Give them a few days.  If you haven't heard from anyone in 5-7 days, call again.

Dont be too pushy or desperate, that is a turn off for someone who is hiring. Just be patient and give it time and I'm sure they will call soon.

You need to have a little patience...There is nothing wrong with calling to check on an application, but he probably got busy and didn't have the time to fully go over your application.  So relax, and if you don't hear from him in a couple of day, then call back and check up on your application again...

I agree with M P...Don't jump to conclusions.Give it a day or so. then call back. When your a manager in a fast food joint it is really hard to get  a little bit of time to do anything, much less review an app. Just be patient :)

Don't get so upset about it yet.  I worked at Wendy's when I was 16 and now work at McDonald's (i'm 24 now.)

It is not uncommon for managers to have things come up they have to take care of and put other things aside temporarily. I know this especially happens when we suddenly get overwhelmed with customers.  Especially buses.

I'd give them a couple of days before you call again.  When you call just say your name and that you are checking up on the application you put in.
