I applied for FAFSA and my 2007 income was 31,000 which made my EFC 11000

Question

how much will i Get for financial aide? last year i had 2 jobs that brought my income over 31,000 and that's what i put down on my application can i tell them i only have one job now that is no where near 31,000 so i can Get more money for my financial aide or would i have to wait until next year to re apply for more aide?

You cannot go to the fafsa website to make that kind of change. You must put down your earnings from 07. What you need to do is talk to your financial aid office to see if they have anything called a special conditions application, or something along those lines. Let them know that your situation is different now compared to 07. Ask them what you need to do to see if they can take your new income into consideration.

you have to go to the website and make the necessary changes to the fafsa form. if you can make a friend with a counselor in the financial aid office they maybe able to either do it for you or help you through it and give you pointers. the school may also be able to speed up the process. good luck.
