I applied for my first job at mcdonalds and i got a call back to sign background check?

does that mean i might get the job bc its been a wk and i still havent got any call back yet

Backgound checks take a few days. If u have been in trouble with the law u always want to dilvuldge if! asked. If u say u have no record but u actually do they will not hire u based on the fact that u lied. If u were convicted of anything as a minor do not say it and they wil not be able to find that out in a background check. Also if they sent a background check in for you they are very interested in hiring you because that costs them money. If its been a week it would be o.k. to call and speak with the manager who interviewed you. Say " Hi this is _____ u interviewed me a week ago and I just wanted to call and check if there was any news and to let u know I am still very interested in this job." It works every time. Every job Ive worked i've done these follow up calls and they got me hired. good luck and when u get the job dont be late. Be 15 minutes early every day.
