I applied to a Charity Shop to be a volunteer... havent heard back?

I applied on Saturday (handed in one of their application forms) and have'nt heard back... I'm 19 and I'm getting really down about not being able to get a job even when volunteering!! what could the problem be?

Ring them up and ask if the postion has been filled. If it has ask them why you didn't get ait. All prospective employers (paid Or voluntary) should be prepared to give feed back.

Ask at some other places you have applied to. Once you know you can address the problem.

They're probably run by volunteers and there could be bunches of reasons, like your app fell down behind something.

Call or go back, but confidently, not angry or pitiful. Even volunteer groups don't want angry, self-pitying people working with them. The people they help may have excuses to be that way, but the staff, volunteer or paid, has to get past their own problems, at least while they're on the premises.

Call them! They are probably too busy to go through each application and call people back!

just pop in to the shop and enquire about if they've had a chance to look at your application form thats what i would do.
