I personally would love a world without war, a world where we don't even bother taking out weapon's out of the Armory, we just go and do Humanitarian job's.

Yes it is, once we move beyond Greed and embrace a life of caring for our fellow man. Freely Heal and Educate so all can be productive. When Freedom of Man comes before Corporate Greed, And the Tyranny of Man by Man.

Then there will be Peace on Earth, Good will towards all.

Since our civilization of 4500 recorded years there has only been 247 years when there was no wars.  So mathematically you can see there always has been war going on (some where)

Survival of the fittest and the competition to thrive and survive are what keeps living things from becoming extinct. As societies or civilizations lose the will to thrive, they become soft, weak and eventually are replaced. Natural Selection modern style.

War is a thing that always existed, and will always exist.

Thousand of years ago war was a way of taking the food from others.  Hundreds of years ago countries used war for expanding bigger land, to rule over other nations.

In our 21st Century nations are going to batle field for the wealth the other have in his land.

Nations are telling the people that they are batling terrorism or that they try to give other nations the freedom.

But what is freedom?

For exemple: You defeat a country in a war and you say you will give back the freedom to the people, but you give them new rules, can you speak about freedom then?

Back to your question.

A world without war ?

As long as our world knows wealth a poorness, war will always exist.

As long as the other has got more than himself there will always be violence.

Maybe someday in 1 million years the world will be freed from Satan.

Man has always been an aggressive animal. Even in the earlier  part of mans history, and I'm talking cave man and before, there has always been a struggle for resources. and the strong survive. WE the man of today have better tools and weapons and the will to destroy thousands instead of a few for those needed supplies.As we grow more knowledgeable, we become more destructive. Look at the atomic weapons, we now have the ability to kill all our enemies and ourselves at the same time.There will be no world without war, unless we go into space and have the star trek version of technology. Then we will do war on other worlds.
