I was in 1st period this morning, and someone took the lid from my lotion and absolutley destroyed the inside of my $175 purse. I asked how to get it out (*and I still am..... any suggestions?*), and people kept on telling me that it was my fault bc I brought an expensive purse to school. I think they are all just jealous POSERS that need to get a life. I guess my question now is..... Shouldn't a girl in the 8th grade be able to bring whatever she wants to school? It is my buisness and I just can't believe how anybody would have the audacity to say that this was all my fault because how dare I bring a purse to school that wasn't from the dollar store? I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO WHATEVER I WANT AND NOT GET IT RUINED!!!!!!!!! I mean for crying out loud these kids are 14 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!

UGH!

  1. Although it is your choice to bring the purse you want. You have to except responsibility of what could happen to it.

  2. It IS your fault for bringing something expensive to school. That is why I always carried a Target/Walmart purse to school with me. There is absolutely no need to have a $175 purse at school.

Nobody is jealous of you. They are just SMART in the fact that they wouldn't do that.

Stop whining. Learn from your mistake. Don't bring expensive things to school.

  3. your so right I should be able to do what ever i want and not have my stuff get ruined either....

    I should roll in mud

or drop ice cream on my whte shirt

not shut the lid to my lotion............BUT

I should be able to do whatever i want and not have my stuff get ruined either....Right

    get a life!

  4. its not fair but turn it inside out and rub it with a wash cloth until it is no longer wet, blow dry it.Idk what else to tell you but you should be able to do what you what if you have the money for a $175 purse you should be able to enjoy it.

  5. Take some paper towels or tissues and gently scoop out and wipe out as much as you can.  Then see the link I gave you below; it's a comprehensive description of how to get lotion out of various materials (not sure what material the lining of your purse is).

If the purse is damaged you may want to contact the manufacturer to see if there is anything they can do or suggest to help you.  I know a lady who has a Coach purse that's around 20 years old; the strap broke on it, and they fixed it for her free of charge.  It's nice that SOME companies stand behind their product for the duration.

As for bringing expensive items to school; you can do it, no reason why you shouldn't.  But you need to consider that expensive items are more likely to be damaged or stolen than inexpensive ones.  If you can afford the purse, by all means you should be able to use it whenever you want; but you should exercise some good judgment as to when that is.  I know that at your age, I couldn't afford nice things; and yes, I was jealous of those who could, but I was one of the few who never acted out on that jealousy.  I was raised better than that.  LOL  Seriously though, you might want to consider buying an inexpensive purse for school, and keeping your nice one for use outside of school.   You might be more mature than the average 14 YO; but I'd wager that the bulk of your class isn't, so you need to take that into consideration as well.
