I asked one of my friends out, and things got all awkward between us. Can I get her back?

I was good friends with her for about two months. After asking her out things got all awkward between us, she didn't talk to me or make eye contact with me for two weeks, but when I was about to leave for home (I live like 1000 miles away literally) I went to shake her hand to say goodbye (and keep a little dignity), she pulled me in and kissed my cheek. Even when we were friends there was no cheek-kissing so this threw me off-balance. Now I don't know what to do regarding instant-messaging and what to do when I see her in December. Little help?

Oh, extra info: she had admitted to liking me in early June and I asked her out in late July.

wow , wish my life was like that , i like this boy but we were not really close , i suggest asking her again in december , and maybe instead of a cheek-kissing you might get a real un ;]

It looks for me like "you already got her". But now the 1000 miles distance creates problem. I don't know how to solve that one.

Wow! This happened to me once. This guy and I were good friends and he suddenly asked me out, I was the same as her, not making eye contact...etc..From what I can see, she definitely likes you, and she was just being shy !!
