  1. Because when you starve your self, the body stops burning the calories to preserve for later when you need them.  This diet sounds retarded.

  2. It takes 3500 calories of deficit to lose a pound.  You have "lost"  maybe .3 lbs today.

However, if you starve yourself, your body will actually burn much less calories because it thinks it needs to save up its calories.

The best way to lose weight is to eat about 500 less per day than you need.

Any more and starvation mode ruins any results you might get.

Also, you probably burn a lot more than 1300 just sitting around doing nothing.

Check out http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie... (free, no ads) to find out more precisely.

  3. A pound is equal to about 3300 calories. If you only burn 1300 a day then of course you won't see a difference daily.

  4. Ya but do you know what will happen once you eat just the smallest amount of food after starving yourself? DAR SHE BLOWS!

  5. your not going to lose weight by starving your self unless you do it for a long while or already a small person. you'll prob just get bloated.

  6. That is not healthy! Drink regular water and lowfat foods. The scale won't budge because your body probably is getting used to the diet. Be patient!! And be healthy!!

  7. Dude, you won't see any change in just one day.

    Give it time.

  8. ughhh anorexia. :[ it's a ***** aint it?

:( try and recover dear. that's the only advice i can give..

  9. well, muscle weighs more than fat so you are naturally gonna weigh more because you are putting on more muscle

  10. You again...

Okay,I'll give you a real answer this time.

You won't lose any weight because you're stupid.

Fad diets don't work.Eat less exercise more.

    Simple as that.

There are no easy ways out.

[btw, changing your name below your avatar doesn't conceal you ;) ]

  11. Your going to be a walking skeleton if you don't stop this ridiculous diet.

Your killing yourself, I hope you know that.

The muscles in your body will start to deplete.

You'll no longer have any strength

Your body will start to eat away it's own organs.

    So...good luck with that!

  12. EAT SOMETHING. This is not a healthy diet, this is anorexia. And sorry, but you can't lose weight in one day. A starvation diet will just ruin your metabolism, making you gain weight in the future. This is not sustainable - you can't eat 0 calories everyday without dying. You need to find an exercise and diet regimen that works for you. Go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week, get a half hour of exercise everyday, and stop eating junk food and overly fatty foods. That will help you lose weight, keep it off, and have more energy. Anything drastic will just make you unhealthy and cause you to binge later.

  13. not healthy. but you know that. crystal light is chemicals. all you are putting into your body is chemicals. that is so dangerous. please try to eat more, you will make yourself so sick otherwise.

  14. Whats the diet?

    Sounds unhealthy!

Oh and when I looked up Crystal Light it said it had 3 kcals, so thats like 30 kcals, you failed your diet!

You will just gain the weight back afterwards, btw.

I don't think your anorexic though, cause you wouldn't fall for fad diets and be so stupid about it.

    God I hate pro ana's.

  15. actually it makes perfect sense, when you don't take in adequate calories, the body CONSERVES fat, you are not likely to see any weight loss for at least a week, and then it will be muscle tissue not fat that you lose.  Weight loss in never an overnight thing, it takes place over months.

It takes a balanced low calorie diet, by that I mean around 1200 calories, it takes exercise, and it takes discipline and patience.

  16. It does make sense.  You don't understand how weight loss works.  Weight does not fall off just because you ate nothing for the day.  Weight loss is a process, not an event, so what matters is life style changes over time, not something you do on one particular day.  You are hurting yourself, and also making it much less likely that any weight you lose will stay off.

Keeping a food journal really does help.  It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.

Make a few small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days.  Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer.

Start a weight lifting routine. It will help increase your metabolism and make you feel and look better in so many ways. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall.

In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish.   Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts.  Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.  Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses a day, and more if it is very hot, it you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely. You will begin to see changes in your body.
