I ate a twix today and my teeth (back) was hurting really bad, what is it?

Thanks For your Help I go to the Dentist in a few weeks but this happened today!

  1. It is prob a cavity or weak spot in the tooth somewhere.  I suggest using Sensodyne toothpaste, flossing and using Listerine-the nasty yellow kind.  Hot showers sometimes help, or a cold conpress.

    Plus, if you call the dentist and let him know you are in pain, he should be able to schedule you a quicker appointment.

    If all else fails, head to the ER.  They will prob just give you some pain meds and an antibiotic, which couldn't hurt.

    Until then, I would stay away from sugary things like soda or tea, and hot or cold things.  Hot means both the temperature and the spicy content.

  2. Its a cavity, don't use Listerine or any mouthwash containing alcohol, it dries out mouth & when u don't have ample saliva(protects teeth) ur more supsepitable 2 cavities.

  3. Its probably a cavity.  Even if you can't readily see it, it could be between two teeth where you can't see it.
