  1. why would you want to?

  2. Worms, No. But have you ever seen an insect, that doesn't have some sort of parasite living on it? There is all kinds of things out there, that can make you sick. Insects are a good source of protein, but is it worth it, to snack on them?

  3. There are insects that have parasites on them and in them.  Other insects can have larvaes within them put there by flys or wasps, ect..  Most insects do not have these problems, but many do, so I would be VERY careful about eating living insects.  Trust me, you would not want to get a Liver Fluke or a Round Worm or a Tape Worm, etc, etc..

I think they'd be better roasted.  There is no harm in eating roasted insects, people all over the world do it, like in China, Thailand, Africa, Papua New Guinea, etc.  There is a great deal of protein in insects.

Go ahead, enjoy, but next time roast them first.  Grasshoppers are especially great.

  4. insects are actually a healthy source of nutrients, just make sure you don't eat a poison one, stay away from bright color one.s

  5. No. Because live insects are living organisms which are immune to worms.

  6. Pretty unlikely. Your digestive tract will make short work of any parasites on the insects. You need to ingest thread worm or tapeworm eggs to become infested.
