I attached a camera to my computer and the camera wont download on video?

Question

I have a Canon Video Camera (CamCorder). I made a video, and it was saved to a memory card instead of a tape. My question is: How can I download my video to my computer? I ask this because my computer only gives me option to download the photos on that memory card, since of course, it doesnt know. But I dont have a tape, so I guess I have to do this manually. (So I can post it on youtube) Funny Once in a lifetime moment. How can I download the video I recorded to my video camera memory card, from the memory card to the computer?

I don't know which camcorder will allow you to record to memory card instead of tape, but if it's on the card you should be able to use a card reader.  You PC will then treat the card like an external disk and you can drag and drop the video wherever you want it.
