  1. Wot eye wood du is paynt dem wit cleer polyurethane, dey wool stay gnu lookin dat way, and it wool protect dem frm gittin durdy.

  2. if you go to B&Q and just get a treatment for them. its like a varnish but it without a gloss or a tint. am sure if you go and ask someone in there they can suggest a few options for you!

  3. 2 coats of Danish Oil (available B&Q) then cut it back with wire wool and beeswax polish.

  4. A clear satin varnish, you don't need to go for an expensive brand, this one should do the job

Waxing and oiling are also a good but you will be re coating every year

  5. I would take them back to the shop, get your money back and then spend it wisely on spelling lessons !!

  6. Whatever option you choose here keep in mind..seal the tops and bottoms of the doors too with whatever product you choose..if not the open grain will absorb moisture during humid days and warp them and make them start sticking when opening and closing...This is very important..I have painted 37 years and have had many government contracts..they require the bottoms and tops to be sealed..which most painters dont even worry with now days...They make a matte and a satin finish on most sealers for wood now so you don't get a "plastic" look

  7. Wax is good but varnish is more durable - get a satin varnish so it does not shine

  8. You can get varnish in a satin finish so it doesn't look shinny. Its better to seal it then to leave it unfinished because pine is very soft and quite porous so it will soak in anything wet that touches it. I have used Varathane line before and I really liked it.
