I babysit from 8am till 6. 2 kids under 10.how much should i get_i get 82$ each time is that 2 much?

That is a good amount to get each day for babysitting.   I pay $10 per hour for my 11 year old.  If the sitter is a responsible person than it is well worth it to the parent.  I hope you are saving some of the money you make.  By the end of Summer, you'll have quite a bit of tax free money to show for your hard work.  I think that is great!

that sounds about right since you are babysitting 10 hours. so a little over $8 and for 2 kids under 10 that sounds good. that sounds average and the price of babysitters has gone up

Not sure what the answer is for your area, but I do not care for the there other asnwer you received.  If they pay you that much I guess they feel you are worth it. Whoever pays you must make a lot of money.  

I am going to be babysitting my daughters new baby and I am giving up a good job to do so, she wanted to pay me the same wage, but I told her I thought that was too much.  I make about $84 a day before taxes...but it will be costing me about $10 a day to drive to her house & I am going to do some houselkeeping for her so they can be with their baby when they get home.

i don't know.. i'd say that's about right. $8.20/hour for 2 kids. i wish i got payed that much ;) haha

it kind of depends on what you do. if you're driving around or taking them to the pool, etc. you should get payed more.

It depends on if you provide food, crafts, materials to do things, money for outings, etc...

How old are you?

I wouldn't pay that much for kids that are 10 and such, maybe like 4.00 an hour at 10 hours would be 40.00 a day, if you are a teen and not providing the food, if so increase by how much you are spending or are your parents supplying the food?!

I guess I feel like I need more info to form an accurate opinion - but I hope this helps some!

no! that is highway robbery. when i babysit i always get paid 10 dollars a hour no matter what. both famalies i babysit for has 3 kids and no matter if i babysit 1,or 2, or all three of there kids they always pay me 10 dollars a hr and they are all under 10 years old also.everyone i know gets paid the same also.

not enough, I pay $8 an hour for the first child and $5 for every child after that.  So it should be closer to $100-$130 unless it is a daily thing that you do for someone for example 4 days a week than it would be closer to $60 a day for all 4 days.
