The cheepest ticket I'm getting is around $1500 and this is something just out of the question.

I'm looking for something cheeper than $1200 round trip.

Any advise.

  1. The site which seems to be recommended by many people in this section (and checks over a range of different carriers) is http://www.skyscanner.net/

It's difficult to check for you as you do not mention where you are looking to leave from, so check this and it will show you the cheapest tickets on offer.  However be forewarned that short-notice tickets do tend to be more expensive than those booked in advance, so you may have to pay the additional cost

You could always try directly with the airlines as well explaining your case and see if they can help.  No guarantees, but always worth a try of course

I wish you all the best in difficult circumstances

  2. well it depends on where you're flying out from.  Try this site www.mobissimo.com, they scan all web listed prices by all majoy and minor airlines.  You would probably have to take LTU from the US,  and then connect somewhere in Europe to an Air Berlin flight....Air Berlin is a European budget airline.

    Good Luck!
