  1. Some banned member rejoin under a different ID and do this to aggravate the owner and make trouble. Some actually hack into groups and post messages for the heck of it.

If you still have the message that was posted, use the Yahoo Groups Help form and report that person. You will be contacted by Yahoo Staff asking for pertinent info, so get together all your notes and info that you have on that person.  Good luck!

  2. be sure that when you banned this person, they're actual in the ban list which is located in the members list. also be sure to add their e-mail address if it's different than ID

you may also want to check your membership settings so it requires approval- restricted. thats located under management- under group settings click membership- Membership Type and Welcome Message (Edit) <- click the edit- check Restricted (you approve all requests for membership) - click save changes

you may also want to approve new members posts- management- messages- Posting and Archives (Edit) <- click the edit- 3rd column Moderation- checck which applies- click save changes.

that way if they are sneaky and again gain membership, their posts can be monitored

there had been post delays a few weeks back- I've been getting delayed posts coming through due to that. I think those posts would still go through even after the member was banned, since they had been a member when it was set.

    good luck
