Question:

I barely show emotion anymore why is that?

for the past month or so, i haven't been able to cry or laugh much. I'm normally in a blah mood. for example the other day my friend sent me a video on youtube and he told me to watch it and said that i would probably die of laughter because he did. i didn't even smile. Also my Grampy died when i was 2 and i normally cry when i think of it but i didn't this time.I'm thinking it may be because of my whole boyfriend/best friend situation but im not sure? any ideas.

  3. are you taking any anti-depressants? Many are notoriously known to not only get rid of depressive emotions, but all others as well. If you are consult your doctor and change your meds!

    if you arent taking any meds, you sound like you have a mild case of depression. DONT WORRY! everyone goes thru this from time to time, find something you love and do it, if this goes on for too long then, again, seek medical advice

  4. You have become numb to the world?  Well, what would it take for you to "wake up" and appreciate what life has to offer?  Hopefully, not a car wreck or losing a family member to know how wonderful life truly is.

    Are you bored? Restless? You're upset because you have a crush on a boy and he thinks you guys are friends?  I think this is the issue you're trying to address.  SO do something about it. Are you really going to let the moment pass you by when you have the opportunity to actually turn it all around?  

    You need to get out, stop thinking of BOYS, get some fresh air -take a walk or something and do something you really enjoy.  I hope you snap out of it

  5. You say you're not showing any emotions,but in reality you are. Maybe you're not laughing and smiling,but perhaps that's because you're not actually feeling...well...happy at the moment. There's really nothing wrong with that. It's called....being human. If you're feeling sad and a bit depressed, then maybe that's the emotions that you're actually showing.

    There's a wide range of emotions.....Some are more pleasant to have than others that for sure. We're always pressured to be a certain way. Most of the time we feel pressured to have a smile on our faces and to look like we're in a positive mood....and we think that if we don't feel this way all the time, there's something wrong with us. But that's c**p in my opinion. Remember, you're a human being,...you're allowed to feel whatever it is that you're feeling. Maybe you just have deal with certain things that are going on in your life right now. It's important to do that. Be kind to yourself no matter what you're feeling.

    But I don't think you've stopped feeling altogether. It may feel that way. Sometimes when things get really stressful and difficult for us, we , i way "shut down". It's a way of protecting ourselves and preserving our sanity.

    And no, I don't think there's anything wrong with you. You're just human....
