  1. Do you eat much before you swim? It could be because you arent eating much. I have collapsed before due to not eating enough.

  2. you need to see a doctor.  it could be as easy as low blood sugar or something much worse.  SEE A DOCTOR SOON!

  3. do you eat before ? u need to eat and drink because you burn calorie a lot  he happen to me if a don't eat a lot before swiming

  4. stay hydrated!

  5. you should tell your DR. about this

  6. 40 laps....You should have mentioned the length of pool like whether it is of 50 mtrs or of 100 mtrs of standard style. In any case, 40 laps in one session is not a simple or ordinary light thing to take. It depends on stamina of the swimmer. A professional would never take risk of getting out after 40 laps and start walking. You might have watched many times on TV that the long distant participants do take five minutes recess after finishing even 20 laps' meet. The blood circulation runs heavily once you stop previous movement of the body and enters into new stage (like stepping on platform to shower etc.). The instant change is the major cause of that dizzy feeling. Nothing else. Don't worry, its a temporary stage only and since you are capable of finishing 40 laps, naturally you are fit to cope with this sudden changes. Forget it....and enjoy.

(However, keep it in practice to eat at least something solid like frruits before entering into that ordeal of 40 laps.....But in any case, avoid junk foods.)
