it wouldn't hurt b/c you've only been pitching for one year so anything to help you get better would  be good

I finally figured out what he was trying to say:

"I've been a pitcher for 1 out of the 2 years that I have played, are the pitching schools they advertise any good, because I would like to get better."

My answer is that they probably won't hurt anything, if you've only been pitching for one year you have a LOT you could improve upon.  I too would recommend a grammar school, because you won't be pitching in grade school, HS, or college if you are flunking English class.

Some pitching schools are great some are rip offs. Find out through personal recommendations not testimonials about the schools you are interested in. If you find an instructor that tells you their way is the only way to pitch go to the next one. Cat pitches one way and Monica pitches another, but both can make your team look like t-ballers. Once the basics are mastered something about your style that sets you apart from other pitchers might make a difference in having that extra look from a scout.  I know you probably typed your question in quickly and didn't think about the spelling or wording, but remember we are promoting a great sport and the way we present ourselves to the general public is the way our sport is seen by those that are not educated in the sport.

id say find a private pitching coach rather than a pitching school

get more one on one help and im sure it will be more helpful and be worth your money more.

i loved having my own coach who was only worried about me
