  1. Take a look at your oil.  If it looks like somebody added mayonaise to it, it's likely the head gasket. Coolant gets in there and emulsifies.   Check coolant level and your temp guage as well. You'll need to find out for sure soon, else you'll warp the head.  That'll take the job from $$$ to $$$$.

  2. True, while a blown head gasket will leave a white residue on the dipstick, sometimes this takes awhile to "churn" oil & coolant mix to make this white residue.  If  this just started this morning and you only drove it around the block you may not see any white residue on the oil dipstick yet.

One simple redneck way of checking is to remove your radiator cap (with engine DEAD COLD).  With radiator cap off, start car.  If coolant flies out of radiator, you have a blown head gasket.

THIS IS ONLY A QUICK WAY OF ELIMINATING SOME POSSIBILITIES, but if coolant flies out a few feet when the engine starts you've got head gasket problems or cracked heads (doubtful)

    Good Luck!

  3. Could be your PVC valve (Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve). Sometimes when they get gunked up and stuck open, they cause engine oil to be sucked into the engine and burned.
