Now the place is looking pretty ugly the skin is coming off and continues to bleed and it is getting bigger. Could i die from this if i do not go to the doctor? I have noticed spiders that are brown with a white mark on the back around the house we live in the country. thanks

  1. does it look like hour glass? i don't knw where you live? there is such thing as brown recluse and it bites then the skin around dies and it keeps widdening till you do surgery and get it out. its infected for sure you need to see the doctor now.

  2. It wouldn't hurt to go to the doctor. I doubt you'll die, but you might regret it if you don't. The skin might just be coming off from you scratching.

  3. go to see your Dr just to be safe.

  4. Sounds like a spider bite, depending upon where you live it might be a Brown Recluse...Bottom line:  get thee to an Emergency Room.  Better safe than sorry.

  5. WTF.

You were bitten by a brown recluse, "fiddleback" spider...

Quite poisonous, go to a Dr. ASAP

You'll probably have a scar, but you won't die or anything.

"The physical reaction to a brown recluse spider bite depends on the amount of venom injected and an individual's sensitivity to it. Some people are unaffected by a bite, whereas others experience immediate or delayed effects as the venom kills the tissues (necrosis) at the site of the bite. Many brown recluse bites cause just a little red mark that heals without event. The vast majority of brown recluse bites heal without severe scarring"

    Their venom causes skin necrosis.
