  1. That's silly. Everybody has a sense of power sometimes, but it's just that we are really energetic that day. If you watch World's Strongest Man, some guys look like they're born from the Gods, and I'm sure they feel that way, but they most assuredly are normal...well, mostly normal men.

  2. i do too. Its weird

  3. That just means you're interested.  It doesn't mean you suddenly have to take up the Ancient Greek religion!

  4. the only way u'll kno 4 sure is to consult the oracle of apollo at delphi, sacrifice three white bulls at the base of mount olympus, cut down a tree with a fish and rebuild the colussus of rhodes, only then will the muses tell you secret things.

  5. I am Odinic (believer in the Norse Gods). I did a lot of research before I became a believer. I chose this religion (yes it is a recognized religion) because it fit my life and I found it comfortable. Feeling a connection with the Greek pantheon is not out of the ordinary however I would do solid research before I choose it as a religion per se. And get ready to hear it from the other zealots who think theirs is the only "true one" or "right one". As for being half blood or a demigod, that's not true. Your connectivity to your belief makes you stronger inside(sort of sparking your inner fire) but doesn't empower you or make you god-like. I get the same feeling when I perform a blot during holidays and when I cast runes but I wouldn't disrespect the Aesir and Vanir by putting myself at their level.

  6. The ancient writings are living relics. They answer students questions in a different generation of time. They give fantastic panoramic views of a civilization , but they are students of a different time who gathered in a large room. I have not read the percy jackson series as yet, but i do read other important stories more often.

  7. Yeah,me too,ever since last week...ever since I played God of War.

  8. That'ss just a state of mind called fairy-princess syndrome. When a person falls in love with a fantasy novel series, (Harry Potter,Eragon, Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of The Rings, etc, Twighlight, ect.) they begin to think they have some connection to the story because they wish to live in said storyline. It's fine to enjoy researching these gods, but to say ur a demigod is complete bogus and a very extreme case of FPS. Let's have a reality check. You know ur parents, and they don't go around hurling lightning or causing earthquakes. The stories only seem real cause u desperatley want them to be.

  9. There is probably something in the stories, that you have a great need for, probably an emotional need. To feel empowered. This can cloud things, as some of the other answerers are adressing.

Besides that, you may have a connection with these ancient teachings, something from a former life, where there was a connection with this culture and it's teachings. Reading the modern day books, is a way to work your self into this energy again, to try to bring you into contact with it. But don't let you ego spoil the process by building a castle of sand out of the experience. If you can bypass the overheated water of your wants and needs and phantasies, and instead take the experience of the books to heart, you could bring your self to a place, where you are good enough as you are. This happens through allowing yourself to go through all the tough emotions and hurts, that are lurking behind your needs and wants and phantasies. A tall order? Depends on who you want to be, your self or your fantasies?

Sorry for the lecture - hope you can use it for some good!
