  1. It seems to me that if you believe humans aren't responsible for the planetary warming observed over the last century, then you should already have data to support your belief.  If you don't already have data, precisely how did you come to your conclusion that anthropogenic effects are irrelevant?

  2. The simplest fact of this matter is that any source of warmth will cause ice to melt, so we can go ahead and attribute part of global warming to that huge ball of fire known as the sun. As for carbon emissions and greenhouse gasses, there are plenty of erupting volcanoes and naturally-caused forest fires that happen in a year causing more carbon emissions than any of us can.

  3. Well it's already been established and scientifically proven that, on average, global warming is 93% caused by humans.

Your right partially. Cows and sheep flattuate a lot Lol......;)

    But 7% ain't a lot from where I'm standing....;)

    Hope I've helped! Xx

  4. "out rite debunking"

hey ace, is that some denierrista secret ritual?

  5. Humans are a huge factor. Scientists have determined past CO2 levels from ice cores. Guess what?! They dramatically dropped after the plague wiped tons of people out. Coincidence? No!

  6. if you believe that, but can't back it up, then you don't really believe it.

  7. This is quite funny--the warmers do a lot of hand waving with overused phrases like "you think you know better than this many scientists" or "there isn't a better alternative so CO2 must be it!" That is not science and that is not evidence, but of course, they don't have any evidence so that is the best they can do.

I don't fault them for it. They don't have much else.

  8. The aliens living in my basement have told me that they are causing it, as a prelude to invasion.

But they refuse to go on TV and admit that.

  9. The CO2 is nor there. The environmentalist say that it  has increased over 300%. Back when I worked with CO2 it was 1 ppm. But even at that what percent is that of our total atmosphere. 300 ppm is what perceny??Of the air it is .0003% which is nothing. The main thing is how much has it lowered our oxygen, none 20.9%

  10. No. But there's lots of data to suggest that humans are causing it.

There are normal cyclical changes in temperature, which usually correspond to higher/lower levels of carbon dioxide. But there's never been natural carbon dioxide levels like we have now. And that's from humans.

  12. Yes, It is call the Book of Revelations, tells all about it.

  13. Humans are causing some of it.  There is evidence not as much as everyone thinks.  See the link below.  I am an Engineer and many things I have seen and hear make me skeptical, at least do not seem to fit.  One example is the models seem to run away and curve upwards, they should go up with a downward curve.  What causes this is the "positive feedback"- Comman sence tells you on earth almost every feedback is negative.  A ball stops rolling, the first layer of insulation does the most good.

  14. What possible evidence have you seen that would convince you that the vast majority of climate scientists from around the world (who say humans are indeed responsible for most of the recent warming) are wrong?

Here's a list of prestigious scientific organizations from all over the world that disagree with you:

  15. Make up your mind, the ask for data to support your decision?  That has become really tiresome.

Hey LRG...could it be the rites of spring?  Or would that make the seasons a religion?

  16. I have a good one:

Once drilled, oil and gas fields flow without the help of humans...

Open the tap and pretend you never did it.

  17. No.

I asked a similar question yesterday:

Did any natural warming occur without greenhouse gas involvement?

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

In spite of the simplistic mantra "climate change/natural cycles happened in the past" that people repeat, I have never seen any evidence of a natural cycle that did not involve greenhouse gases, either as a leading cause or as a positive feedback.

Volcanos have been ruled out.  The sun has been ruled out (except that CO2 traps more if its heat).  Mankind's contribution to current CO2 levels is easily measured and monitored via CO2 isotopes.

Black carbon (soot) has proven to be a bigger factor than expected, but not as great as CO2.  Methane is a factor (as are other GHGs, a to smaller degree).  Deforestation is a factor.

There isn't any credible alternative to pin it on at the moment.
