Your free anti-virus download is AVG.

It's very good go here http://free.avg.com/ww.download?prd=afe to download it. I used it for ages before I bought a full internet security pack. Make sure you also get yourself a firewall and some spyware software. Spybot- Search & destroy is great and completely free.

There are many free downloads, AVG and Avast being amonst the two top most popular.  However, I personally do not like either, a couple of years ago downloaded free trial of Windows LiveOneCare, liked it so much and bought it, only £39.99 for one year for 3 computers and I now use this totally with Super Antispyware and have no problems.

There are many free antivirus softwares on the net, I use AVG which is available for download just google AVG antivirus in google and click on the most suitabe link, I have used AVG for ages now and find it better than ANY antivirus i have bought from the shop.

best thing to do is check downloads.com and pull up the list for anti virus software and then filter them through by which one is free and then list them in order of editors choice. it will most probs be avast or avg or check by user rating as that gives you an idea of what us normal lot like using the most.

I know a few secrets, i know AVAST and AVG Are rubbish, they dont protect you at all, cookies pop-ups will get into your computer!!!!!
