America will go anywhere to get the best athletes, the most brilliant scientists, etc.

And in turn, those same athletes want to relocate to the USA.

I am personally very excited by Jamaica's performance in the Olympics this year. I always knew we had it in us, and I am very hurt by this petty bickering that has been going on between the Jamaican supporters and the US supporters.

No, Jamaican athletes are not taking drugs. No, Jamaicans do not hate the United States. We are all very happy for Phelps's medals.

The US gets a lot of its Jamaicans as students here.  They train with US universities but compete for their home country.

How come not more Jamaicans train in England?  They speak English there as well, albeit a funny sort of English, but the Jamaicans train in the US because the sports programs here are better.
