I bet on sportsbook. Under line it says : Memphis -2 (-115). Whats the (-115) mean?

I know the -2 means memphis has to win by 2. but i dont understand what the number in the (parantheses) means.

  1. It's the money you  are risking, for instance if you bet $100, you are risking $115 and if you win, it'll still be $100.

    And also Memphis has to win by 3 or more for you to win the bet, if they only win by 2 it would be a tie.

If Memphis wins by exactly two then you will PUSH and your wager will be refunded.  The number in parentheses -115 indicates the amount needed to be wagered in order to WIN $100.  In this case as wager of $115 is required in order to win $100 and yes the $115 is also returned for a total of $215.  Take care.
