I boil lamb + carrot + potatoes for my shitzhu, any idea what other ingredients I can add to the lamb?

How about you just skip out on the whole boiling thing and just feed your dog Raw Lamb and Bone (plus organs)!

There are lots of books available on how to cook for your dog/make your own dog food. Go to www.dogwise.com and have a look. You could also try the BARF website (Biologically Approriate Raw Food) for ideas and recipes and information on how to make a well-balanced diet for your dog.

cooked brown rice is good for him, as well as peas, cooked fish, chicken, and beef.

Rice is very good for dogs. Oil added is a good idea. Dont give your dog onion, they have trouble digesting it. But garlic is very good for dogs.

Sweet Potatoe, Cottage cheese, Fresh Green Beans and Yogurt.

Why lamb?  Wouldn't hamburger work as well?  Or chicken?
