  1. Cancelling through the credit card is probably treated as fraud in whatever locality you are in (it is in the UK).

Best you can get is a refund of the government taxes, minus an administration fee. You bought a non-refundable ticket, so what do you expect?!

  2. No, its a non-refundable ticket. Just put it down as a loss and move on.

  3. Probably not, because I expect many have tried before!

There would need to be something "wrong" with the transaction and you are unlikely to be able to prove that there was because of the opportunity to change/confirm all details before you hit the "buy" button.

    Three things I will say:

Try and get someone else to buy the flight from you and then pay the name change fee.

Look for a date in the future when you CAN use the flight and pay the date change fee

If you do cancel - remember you are entitled to a refund of the taxes and airport charges (but not the flight cost), many people don't bother with this but it is often more than the fklght cost itself. Especially true with low cost carriers.

    Good Luck.

  4. You can cancel your flight, but you will not get your money back. Read the print on the ticket headed "Conditions of Carriage." Your ticket is actually a contract between you and the airline. All of the conditions are included in it, including the non-refundable part. You may be able to use the ticket later for a specific fee, provided you meet the conditions in the  contract.
