I booked a flight for my boyfriend on Travelocity, but booked it in my name... I'm on hold right now. I feel so stupid. Anyway, will they work with me to change the name, and will I have to pay anything?

  1. They should just change it for you . It is a honest mistake and you have all the information so you should be good. Don't feel stupid I'm sure it happens more then we know.

    Good Luck

  2. That's why it's better nowadays to book directly from the Airline's website.  Maybe you're going to ask "How will I know what airline flies there or what not?"  Simple answer.  Use Travelocity's, Expedia's, Orbitz's website to find out the best price/schedule then go directly in the airline's site and book it there.  You'll be surprised because it's always cheaper by at least $10 - this is where Travelocity, Expedia and Orbitz made money of plus their bulk discount off the airline.  And if you book directly from the airline, chances are they will cut you a slack because they made more money by you booking from them directly.

  3. Go to the airport in PA if possible and change it there.  You should be able to with a fee, it also depends on how far away the reservation is.  If it is more than 7 days it should be no problem...But it does depend on who you are talking to because some ticket agents are more experienced than others.  You have to be care full when you book through a cheap online ticket site.  Their cheap fare is because you are booking with a very restricted fare.  That means that basically if you need to change anything they are usually unwilling to help.  So best bet is to explain situation to someone face to face and if they are good at their job they will help.

  4. The airlines can change for you but they might have some charges incurred. If the air ticket term and conditions not allow to change, then you have to purchase another air ticket to fly together with you boyfriend.

  5. They should. I'm not sure about if it'll cost. I did kinda the same thing. I booked it under my maiden name instead of my married name.
