I looked online and they have a 24 hour price match guarantee. I booked the room Tuesday night and I filled out the form on their website today (Thursday morning). The price dropped on their own website, so its not like they are price matching with another company. Should I just try to cancel the room and re-book it again? The price was $199 and now its $149. We are staying at the hotel on Saturday. It is just a one night get away in Chicago (we live about 50 miles north of the city). Has anyone had a problem canceling or getting a re-fund from them? I didn't get any insurance or anything, I just don't want to wait too long and not be able to get the better price. I dont want to sound cheap, but hey $50 is $50!

  1. If your reservation is cancellable (not all are) you can cancel and rebook.  If you want to do so, I would try that.

Travel stuff changes price regularly. Travelocity is a travel agent, they don't set prices, they provide prices set by others.  In some cases they get special prices because of who they are, but the change is probably caused by the hotel, and that is where your annoyance should be directed.
