Same thing happened to me too a few days ago. The transaction failed but the money was debited. I got a auto mailer from IRCTC saying the money would be credited back in 3-4 days. Also a reference number was given in the mail which I was to quote in case I called up the call center.

However contacting the call center was not necessary in the end as the money was returned after 3 days automatically, as promised in their mail.

first look into &#039;booked ticket history, in irctc account.

if it showing there thn print the ticket.

if it is not showing then, it means due to some error ticket is not booked but payment is made. Don&#039;t wry about that, your money will refunded by irctc automatically within two days into your account.

The irctc server sometimes gives such error notices. If the ticket was not generated, the money will be credited back to your account. Don&#039;t worry.

first call your bank people can confirm whether your payment got transfered.  

If it got transfered means call IRTC toll free no.
