I bought 2 goldfishes today and they just sit in a corner of the tank together what could the problem be ?

Im sure its nothing to do with the tank size as its 90 gallons and they are really small. I was thinking they need something to hide behind maybe there to exposed. I used to have plants and little ornaments in it but got rid of them before buying these new fish. Im going tomorow to buy new plants but could it be something else ?

aww the poor things are scared and are trying to hide. you have to provide them with plants and other aquarium decorations so they have things to swim around and hide behind.  don't wait til tomorrow, buy them tonight!! the poor fish.....

The problem is that they feel nervous. In an empty tank, fish will try to hide by hiding in the corners. I would suggest buying more decorations, but not plants. Goldfish eat plants. You will just be providing an expensive snack for your fish. If the fish know they have many hiding places, they will be more confident.

You should also add a few more goldfish, to make your fish less nervous. Just remember not to add too much, as goldfish can grow large and are heavy eaters.

Since you don't have anything in the tank they're probably just scared. Goldfish are prey and they know that, so if they don't have somewhere to hide or something to cover them they'll get scared and huddle together somewhere. Mine do that when I rearrange stuff in the tank or take everything out to clean to gravel.

There is no life going on there... maybe you need more fish so they can feel more comfortable.

there is nothing wrong with the fishes.

It's there new home so there scared to swim around but trust me in couple of days there gone be chasing each other around the tank.

You can buy many plants and  rocks where they can hide.

fishes will feel more safe and happier.
