I bought HP d5000t desktop with 512 MB NDIVIA GeForce 9500 GS vid card. Can I add another video card?

Tthe card I wanted to add is ASUS EN9800GT HB/HTDI/512M GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card and I have GeForce 9500 GS. My question is will the be compatible? thanks

  1. Hi. I had pretty much an identical question about a month ago. I also bought the d5000t, but with the 9600GS- 768mb. It turns out, you cant run dual graphics cards because the motherboard only has one 2.0 x16 slot. This kinda sucks, and looking back i wish that i had just gotten the stock card and spent the money on a 9800.

  2. SLI required 2 identical cards, plus your PC must have 2 x PCI-e slots and supports SLI. Not to mention the current power supply may not be good enough to handle the extra power requirement
