I got the trade paperback Thunderbolts: Faith In Monsters and it says number 1 on the side, does that mean I dont have to read the previous Thunderbolts to understand everything? Should I be fine? Some comics nowadays dont require you to read the very first comic to understand everything.

  1. Generally, trades collect full story arcs, so if you know the basics on the characters you will be able to follow the book. Plus, the book you mentioned is the first of Warren Ellis's run on the title and the team had received a post-civil war roster. If you have a little background on what civil war was about, you should do fine.
