I bought a 10 pack of Maxell DVD-R 's what video formats do they support?

If you want to have exact specifications: the have 4.7 GB each, up to 16x speed (max), 120 min. mode SP mode, write-once, single sided. if any of that even matters

From your question it appears you need a lot more than a short answer.  The short answer is that DVD-Rs can support DVD burning or data burning.  You'll need some DVD authoring software, which probably came with your burner, and some burning software, like Nero or Roxio, which come with most DVD burners.  If you burn a data disk, you can put any format you'd like on the DVD-R, but your DVD player will only play DVDs and possibly Divx files.  You'll need an appropriate video playing software to play the video files from a data disk.
