I bought a 9mm for myself but i want to give it to my fiance, how do i transfer it to her name in texas?

She does check out with the sale at academy , I know she can have it anyway but does it have to be in her name. Thanks for all the answers to everyone.

    There is no registration in Texas so just give her the gun

    If you are concerned have her sign a bill of sale


  2. Texas does not require registration of guns so all you have to do is to give it to her.

  3. You did say fiancé, not fiancée?  Then you should just give him the gun.  Texas is a community-property-state anyway so once the two of you marry half of the gun is yours again.  Seriously, there is no gun registration in Texas so don't sweat it.

  4. Simple, turn to her, hold it out and offer it. If she takes it then congratulations it's hers. Like the other fellow said, Texas does not require you to register your guns, however, make sure that she has no major criminal record or anything like that, no offense intended, but providing a firearm to someone not legally allowed is federal trouble. However, since you are asking, i assume she probably checks out.
