I bought a Browning Citori o/u shot gun from a friend.

Question

From the serial number info available on the net I think that I have determined that it was made in1987. However I can't seem to find out what model it is to check for an approx. value. It has a gold colored trigger and a long tang. The complete serial number is D 8507 PR 153. Can anyone tell me what I have?

It looks like you have the Grade 1 hunter (field) in 3" 12ga.

Without knowing the condition of your firearms, it will be hard to price.  Similar firearms - in great condition - are selling for 1,100 to 1,300.  

Just wondering, what did you pay for it??
