I am sure it is not an antique, because it did not cost a lot of money.

  1. well, there are laws about taking Buddha images out of the country - it used to be that a license had to be purchased - - I do not know the regulations now but it is a good idea to check with UPS or a shipping agent though shipping through UPS can be quite expensive but it will arrive quickly if they will do it - -

  2. It's against Thai law to remove images of Buddha from the country without permission from the government. You can apply for a special permit or you can pack it yourself in a box and take it to FedEx or DHL, describe the contents as something other than it is and take your chances.

  3. Thailand imposes stringent controls on the export of art objects.  No Buddha image or fragment, irrespective of its age, may be taken or sent out  of the country.  All other art objects, irrespective of whether they are originals or reproductions, require export licenses from the Fine Arts Department.  Permission takes at least two weeks.

  4. Check for a local office of U.P.S. or D.H.L or FEDEX.  A metropolitan city the size of Bangkok will have at least one if not all three.

They will have offices at a major airport, and should have satellite offices in the city area.
