I bought a Hoover Wind

I bought a Hoover Wind Tunnel in January 2008. At first it worked great though very noisy. Now it will not pick up small fuzz on medium shag carpeting. I have checked the bag, the filter, the belt, and obstructions and there are none. Plus the noise level has increased. What is wrong?I am very dissatisfied.
