  1. Your motor will push an 18-20 ft. long boat without any trouble. Depending on what you like to do, put it behind a bass boat if you like to fish or a runabout if you like cruising and water sports or a fish and ski if you enjoy both. Make sure the transom is rated for the weight of your motor. Happy boating!

  2. actuakky, the hp rating plate is not usually on the transom but near the driver's seat.

  3. The motor you have exceeded the horsepower rating for the boat you put it on by a good bit- usually the transom height of 15 inches is for a motor that does not exceed 40 horsepower and most of the time even less. You need to check on the rating on the next boat before you buy it- make sure it is rated for a 140  horsepower motor or over. The h.p. rating will be on a plate located on the transom of the boat- hope I helped answer your question.
