I bought the TV about 6 months ago and now the picture won't work. I didn't register it the product or buy a warranty. I MAY be able to locate the receipt, but will Walmart do anything about it? I have the box, but they just stopped carrying RCA TV's here. Any advice? Or am I just out of luck?

  1. if you have the receipt they MAY send it back for repairs for you..I am not sure.  You won't be able to refund or exchange

  2. I would box it up and take it back to wally world.

  3. I don't know if Walmart will do anything about it--hopefully they can find the receipt by scanning the barcode and serial #. Remember that you bought it from a cheap discount store, and when it's cheap, it's cheap for a reason. If you can, get your money back and invest in a good TV, not from a discount store. Yes you are going to have to pay for something that will last you more than 5 years, but in the end the investment is totally worth it. You BEST TV's are Sony, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Toshiba, LG, Sharp, JVC and Samsung. Remember, buy from a specialty store, not a discount store. You have to pay for quality.

  4. walmarts policy is 90 days...walmart doesnt send electronics back to get them repaired...if you had returned it with the 90 day mark there would be no problem..its a good idea to always keep your receipt too,for the reason that walmart often lowers prices (due to clearencing,rollback,comp-shopping other stores ect) and often you bring an item in without a receipt..you get what it sells for today not what you paid for when you got it...i think youd do better contacting rca ..the link is below

  5. you could go to their website and ask them about it. or they

should be able to scan the barcode on the box and figure out

it came from a walmart. is it still under warr?

  6. Almost all new tvs come with a standard 1 year manufacturers warranty. If you bought this tv with American Express, than it extends that warranty another year. Call RCA or look at the paperwork that came with your tv for the manufacturers warranty.
