I bought a aluminum jon boat with a trailer and I did not get a title for it?

Question

what can i do to get the trailer/boat titled to my name only id on the boat is a hull id on the sides and a registration sticker that expired in 1987. an there is no serial number anywhere on the boat and trailer. also I bought a 9.8 hp mercury motor with cash at a fleamarket and it has a serial number on it and no title came with it and it need to be titled in my name so it legal to use on the water and it need to be titled in texas

im gonna say this loud so you can hear me. YOU NEED TO GO BACK WHERE YOU BOUGHT IT AND ASK IF THEY HAVE THE TITTLE OR IF THEY CAN SIGN A PAPER SAYING THAT THEY SOLD YOU THE BOAT AND HAVE NO TITTLE, THEN GO TO THE TAX OFFICE, SAME WITH THE MOTOR. GOOD LUCK.

alot of states don't require title for a boat or trailor you need a bill of sale the same is true with dirt bikes atv's and snowmobiles
