I bought a blackberry and i dont k now how to get rid of the old users email?

they have their yahoo mail still set up and its one of the main icons on the bottom of the screen i tried setting mine up to see if it would get rid of it but it didnt? its a blackberry8830 world edition

Try going to Options > Advanced Options > Service Books and deleting the service books where you see that old email address.

Remove battery for a minute or two.. then see if its gone.
