I bought a boat with out a title the guy i bought it from said it did not come with a title when he bought it?

  1. Call the Florida Motor Vehicles, and ask the "general question" about titling a used boat.


  2. He may be correct, but I hope you got a bill of sale from him.   Then look on the boat.  If it has numbers, the local DNR should be able you help you.  (DMV is for cars) .

  3. the easiest way is call a homemade boat

  4. DMV in most states can research the title and title it for you.

  5. You can't it could be stolen>with out a title you have some 1 Else's boat> take the FL # & # from the ID on the starbord read transom>If there gone than you have real issues>and see who owns it> But if caught and it's stolen or the owner has issue than you have issues>

    Why would you buy it with out proper paper work>??? Good luck>
